Ibarra
The three most important buildings in the village are all in the main square:
- On one side stands the house of the great musician Vicente Goikoetxea, after whom the square is named. He is the most renowned son of Aramaiona, and is also remembered in a monument which stands in the La Bañera park.
- Opposite this house is the Town Hall, a fine ashlar-work construction built between 1742 and 1746.
- Between the two stands the chapel of San Sebastián, or "Sastiña", historically the most important place of worship in the valley. It was around the markets and fairs held by this chapel that the village of Ibarra grew up.
For over four hundred years the church has also housed the standard reference pieces for the town's weights and measures, along with municipal records and other important documents.
