It has swimming pools, a football pitch, tennis courts, a children's play area with swings, a rest area with benches and picnic tables, barbecues, a fountain, toilets, a bar and changing rooms. Mount La Calzada is crossed by a 4 km path on which benches and information panels are set up at intervals, and there is a fountain.
It stands in the oldest part of the town of Izarra. At the entrance to the recreational area are the "Doņa Lola" country hotel, the Urkabustaiz "Irubidaur" ethnographic museum and a tourist activity planning and management office. Between the Ondona and Marrobaro streams stands a great tree known as "Doņa Lola's Yew", on a specially protected site.

In the newer part of Izarra (the district around the station), are the main services for the area, including bars, shops, banks, a doctor's surgery, a sports centre and bowling alley, a gym and a sauna. Visitors can also tour the famous Idiazabal cheese factory.
From Izarra various routes lead off towards interesting sights, including the Godamo oak woods, the hills of Abornikano, Estuņagan, etc.
