The area of the park within the municipality of Zuia cover around 7350 hectares (60 % of the total). The park visitors' centre is located in the village of Sarria. From there, visitors can follow the course of the river Baias into one of the most visited parts of Gorbeia. Beyond the district of Zaldibartxo lies Igas, the only part of the park where visitors are permitted to camp. Upstream from there stand the highest peaks. Burbona can be reached from Aldarro; Gorbeia from Arkarai and Larreakorta, and Arlobi and Ilunbe from the bridges at Arlobi.
From Markina and Aretxaga, visitors can trace the river Ugalde back up to Berretin, Pagazuri, Arroriano and Gorbeia. The best laid and easiest path to the top is the one that climbs up from Zarate.
