The chapel stands near the village of Jugo, to which it is joined by a well signposted path. Hidden among huge oaks and beech trees, it has the typical appearance of a country chapel. Its baroque altar-piece features a figure of Our Lady of Jugatxi, a Romanesque style carving dating from the 13th century.

Benches, picnic tables, a drinking fountain and hearths for barbecues have been set up around the chapel to form the Jugatxi park, kept up by the provincial authorities.
Aperregi, Domaikia, Jugo and Lukiano are linked by trails from which hikers have ample opportunity to admire the beautiful countryside. From these villages visitors can also climb into the hills of Arrato and Badaia.
