Recreational areas

The Regional Council of Álava has equipped several areas preferred by the locals so that they may be used for outings and leisure time. These Local Parks feature tables, outdoor barbecue grills, children?s games, fountains, etc. which enhance one?s stay in the area and provide easier contact with nature.

In the area of Zuia, we can enjoy the following parks:

Andramari (Aramaio)

In Ibarra de Aramaio, a small and beautiful park, surrounding the Andramari de Ibabe chapel.

Features 4 tables, games, 1 grill, 1 fountain and parking.

Jugatxi (Jugo)

From Jugo, one can access this gorgeous spot with splendid beech woods, where the chapel from which the park takes its name is located.

Features 12 tables, 3 grills, 2 fountains and parking.

Landa (Arrazua-Ubarrundia)

In the village of Landa, at the banks of the Ullíbarri-Gamboa reservoir, under a splendid pine forest and amongst wide open fields, 2 parks have been prepared.

Marixeka (Aramaio)

At the upper part of the Cruceta, on the motorway between Legutiano and Ibarra de Aramaio, Marixeka is a park of quite varied vegetation.

Ostuño (Izarra)

A wide park with a magnificent oak forest, together with pools and other sports installations.

Features 43 tables, 10 children?s games, 15 grills, 2 fountains, 2 bathrooms and parking.

Sorgimendi (Urrúnaga)

At the banks of the Santa Engracia reservoir, between Urrúnaga and Gojain, one can enjoy this park and the beauty of the reservoir alongside.

Features 18 tables and 4 grills.

Zabalain (Legutiano)

At the entrance to Legutiano, with access from Vitoria-Gasteiz to the left, this extraordinary peninsula on the reservoir is found, covered with magnificent vegetation full of oaks and pine forests.
